Fallout New Vegas: FalloutNV.exe Error

There is nothing worse than when you've spent the last couple hours downloading and installing a new Steam game, only to be shot down by a vague error message on it first launch.  Obviously it's to much for the error to provide some sort of insight as to what the actual cause is. 

If you've just finished installing Fallout New Vegas and have encountered a "FalloutNV.exe has stopped working" message with an exception code of 0xc0000005 this may be the solution for you....


Check to see if you have Asus GamerOSD installed, if so, uninstall it and see if that error goes away.
